Joe Walsh has never been one to mince words about guitars. After decades of playing the greatest instruments ever made, he still approaches most new ones with healthy skepticism. That makes his reaction to this guitar all the more meaningful:

That endorsement is exactly what this limited-edition McCarty 594 Singlecut delivers.
Built in a run of only 200 worldwide, the Joe Walsh Signature takes the already exceptional McCarty 594 Singlecut platform and elevates it with Private Stock-level appointments. A slightly thicker mahogany body enhances sustain and resonance, while the violin-carved flame maple top in classic McCarty Sunburst is finished in PRS’s thin, “cracking” nitro lacquer that will continue to age and open up over time. The Pattern Vintage mahogany neck features a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with faux bone binding, “Old School” bird inlays, and stainless steel frets for silky playability and long-term durability. Paul Reed Smith’s handwritten signature appears on the headstock, and Joe Walsh personally signed the backplate of every instrument.
The electronics are pure vintage-inspired PRS: a pair of 58/15 LT+ humbuckers that deliver exceptional clarity, focused midrange, and classic character. Push/pull coil taps on the tone controls give you authentic single-coil voices on demand, while the two volume / two tone layout with 3-way toggle offers the familiar, intuitive control of a traditional single-cut.
Joe has spoken about the details that usually need fixing on modern single-cuts — particularly neck set angle and the critical space under the bridge that contributes so much to an instrument’s “mojo.” On this guitar those issues were already solved. The result is an instrument that feels broken-in and inspiring the moment you take it out of the case, with the tuning stability, intonation, and tonal consistency of a modern PRS married to the soul and response of a great vintage single-cut.
